  • We were the first university in Spain to implement the studies of Protocol and Event Organisation as an official degree. As a training complement, we have extracurricular workshops on real events; visits to high-level government institutions, companies in the sector and state-of-the-art agencies. We incorporate technologies applied to the organisation of events that include artificial intelligence, and we are the only university to offer the most advanced software for event planning and organisation. You will participate in the Protocol magazine, the most important in the events sector in Spain and Europe, and you will be able to join the organising team of major international, national, sporting, cultural and festival events, etc. There are no borders, in Spain or abroad.

  • UCJC’s protocol and event organisation studies already have such experience and recognition that its position in the labor market is very high and institutions and companies turn to it for high commitment internships or to access high-level jobs.
  • We collaborate and work with the most important associations of protocol and event organisation and with the Professional Observatory of Protocol and Events.

Basic and general skills

CG1 – Possess and understand knowledge in an area of study that builds on the foundation of general secondary education, and is usually at a level that, while relying on advanced textbooks, also includes some aspects that involve knowledge from the cutting edge of their field of study.

 

CG2 – That students know how to apply their knowledge to their work or vocation in a professional manner and possess the skills that are usually demonstrated through the development and defense of arguments and problem solving within their area of study.

 

CG3 – That students have the ability to gather and interpret relevant data (usually within their area of study) to make judgments that include a reflection on relevant social, scientific or ethical issues.

 

CG4 – Students are able to convey information, ideas, problems and solutions to both specialized and non-specialized audiences.

 

CG5 – That students have developed those learning skills necessary to undertake further studies with a high degree of autonomy.

Specific skills

CE1 – Possess and understand the knowledge that defines and articulates the Protocol and the organisation of events.

 

CE10 – Ability to write fluently texts, protocol documentation, programs, escaletas and scripts in the field of event organization, protocol, event production and multimedia.

 

CE11 – Ability to know marketing tools and their application to event management and organization.

 

CE12 – Knowledge of the correct oral and written use of the native languages and English, with a B1 level (following the Royal Decree 1629/2006 that adapts the teaching of the EOI to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR) as a form of professional expression in the field of organization and production of events.

 

CE13 – Ability to apply basic negotiation techniques in the process involved in the organization of events, especially those in which consensus conditions the public image of institutions and companies.

 

CE14 – Knowledge of the scenic space where the events take place, its composition and the constituent elements of the artistic direction.

 

CE15 – To be able to know and develop the principles of social responsibility and promote the values of sustainability within the framework of event organization, protocol and institutional relations.

 

CE2 – To know and identify the communication factors that support their activity.

 

CE3 – Be able to understand the business environment of the events market.

 

SC4 – To be able to have a global vision of events, their budgetary and financial management.

 

CE5 – Ability to develop non-complex projects for the staging of events, both in their artistic and technical aspects.

 

CE6 – Ability for the appropriate use of technological tools in the different phases of the generation and presentation of projects, their production and execution, so that students can express themselves through images, audiovisual or multimedia discourses with the necessary technical quality.

 

CE7 – Ability to apply the basic legislation that affects the organization of events according to the requirements set as disciplinary knowledge.

 

CE8 – Ability to develop instrumental and methodological techniques involved in the organization and production of any type of event, of official or unofficial nature, with a vision updated to the times applied to the organization of regular events.

 

CE9 – Ability to understand and interpret knowledge about the diplomatic environment, international organizations, their protocol, ceremonial, uses and customs.
