Veronica Steffen García

Doctor en Educación (2015) por la Universidad de Camilo José Cela (UCJC), especialista en desarrollo del currículo internacional (PEP).

Inició su trayectoria docente y administrativa en International College Spain (ICS) como profesora de primaria e infantil en 1985 logrando ser coordinadora infantil, coordinadora del PEP, y subdirectora de primaria. Lideró las acreditaciones de ICS con el New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), Council of International Schools (CIS), y la autorización del PEP (Programa de la Escuela Primaria) del International Baccalaureate Organization. Consiguió ser tallerista para el IB y evaluadora tanto del IB como CIS. En 2007 dejó ICS para apoyar a SEK en el proceso de acreditación de PEP en sus seis centros en España. Durante este tiempo, apoyó al UCJC lograr ser centro de talleres del IB y poner en marcha los certificados de educadores IB. En 2012, enseñó Metodología y Didáctica en los primeros grupos del MEIB y el Experto en UCJC.

Ha participado en investigaciones sobre: Criteria-Based Evaluation. CIS Focus Group (oct.2014); New Design Services, International Baccalaureate Global Schools Services division (oct. 2013-oct. 2014); Additional Language Teaching and Learning in IBPYP Schools con el Global Educational Research Consortium of University Professors (California State University San Marcos, University of Hong Kong, Murdoch University) (oct 2012-junio 2013); Action Research: Passion for Learning and Learning Lab IESEK (2010-2012)

Ha liderado o participado como miembro de equipos de visitas en más de 20 autorizaciones IB o acreditaciones CIS en colegios por todo el mundo.

Ha formado docentes como tallerista en más de 30 talleres del IB desde 1999 hasta la actualidad por todo el mundo.

  • Collaboration on new protocol; Experience with 6th, 7th and 8th Editions; Served NEASC/CIS/IBO teams; Oversaw CIS process in SEK Ciudalcampo and SEK Catalunya
