Databases are large repositories of information organized into minimal units of information, which are records.
Databases are large repositories of information organized into minimal units of information, which are records. The most common and widely used typology is based on the primary and secondary nature of the information they collect. They can be:
- References: they include bibliographical references to articles, journals, monographs, conference proceedings, theses, etc., in most cases offering a summary of the content.
- Full text: provide the full, original text of the documents and not only the reference.
Consultation modes
- Online: access from any UCJC computer through the network to the servers of the different database providers, for example, consultation of the Web of Knowledge, ISI, El Derecho Internet and ERIC.
- In local mode: from the University’s own library, as is the case of the Legal Guide for Architects and Engineers and the Technical Project and Construction Management bases.
