The magazine País Dominicano Temática presented its tenth edition at the Almagro Campus of Camilo José Cela University on 24 June. The event was attended by Emilio Lora-Tamayo, rector of UCJC; Fernando Saavedra, vice-rector; Franklin Garcia Fermin, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology and Juan Bolivar Diaz Santana, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Spain.
Rafael Menoscal Reynoso, Dominican journalist and current editor-in-chief of the magazine País Dominicano Temática also attended The publication, which seeks to create debate on major current affairs, presented its tenth edition on education and how it is being affected by the public health crisis.
Different points of interest were highlighted such as the difficulties faced by new paper formats in today’s society and the merit of one over others, or reforms suggested to improve educational systems, not only for the Dominican Republic or Spain, but internationally.
The presentation was also given at Universidad Europea del Atlántico, in order to attract Dominican students to the classrooms of these universities, which have similar aims as the magazine.
At the event Camilo José Cela University recognised both the merit of the magazine as well as that of its editor-in-chief for raising awareness and providing in-depth coverage of current affairs.
