Students on the Degree in Primary Education launch an interesting initiative on Instagram to encourage reading

The students doing their Degree in Primary Education at Camilo José Cela University have started a fun campaign on social media to promote reading among the university community.

They shared a series of photos inspired by The Rights of the Reader by the French pedagogue Daniel Pennac on Instagram. The main aim of the activity, led by the teacher Sonia Betancort as part of her Literature classes, was for the students to reaffirm their relationship with reading by looking for different places where they find reading pleasant and attractive.

Jorge Luis Borges wrote that “reading is a form of happiness” and the UCJC students captured it with their creative pictures of reading in the shower, pool, parks, and even after a horse ride.
