Storm Filomena covers Camilo José Cela University with a mantel of snow

Camilo José Cela University’s Villafranca Campus woke up the first weekend of 2021 covered with snow due to the storm Filomena, which affected the entire Madrid Region and much of the rest of Spain.

As a direct consequence of the snow, in person teaching and work activity was suspended, until Wednesday 20 January, the day on which teaching, administration and services staff were able to go back to campus, once the weather conditions allowed access.

Despite all these inconveniences, the snowfall left us with scenes that can be seen in the image gallery:
