The University Camilo José Cela educational community is working in favour of groups in need over these weeks of enormous social impact, and very especially, in healthcare.
In this sense, many teachers from the Nursing Degree have volunteered to work in the ICU and emergencies wards of different hospitals in the Madrid Region from the first weeks of March, thus doubling their workload. Combining all this with teaching.
On the other hand, 60% of the students in year 4 of the Nursing Degree are actively collaborating in the fight against COVID-19. A majority of the year four students have volunteered to take training, in their last year of degree, at the behest of the healthcare authorities to fight the virus on the front line. This also requires an enormous effort, when facing such demanding practical and emotional training, always combining it with their studies at UCJC.
