UCJC professors analyse political current affairs for different media outlets

Professors and experts in Communications at University Camilo José Cela have been asked to appear for several media outlets in recent days to give their analysis of the candidates and election campaign in terms of political communications for the upcoming general elections.

Jorge Santiago, Director of CIGMAP and expert in political image consultancy participated in ‘A golpe de Bit’, a program for Spanish National Radio (RNE), in which he talked about Communications in the 10N elections

Eduardo González Vega, expert in political media consulting, discourse and debate, gave his opinion and analysis for several articles featured in La Razón leading up to the elections of 10 November; A la caza del voto de los gamersObjetivo, ganar al hastío el electoralCinco mítines y poco debateCataluña se vota con el corazón and Abascal ganó la campaña electoraland in Terceras elecciones en el horizonte, where he outlined possible political scenarios following the results. He also commented on the election debate for A3 Noticias and spoke on the terrible mistakes that can end candidates’ chances  on Mediodía COPE, and where he also commented on the election results and Albert Rivera’s resignation speech. The night of the debate itself he gave a live analysis on En casa de Herrero: especial debate a 5, on EsRadio. In addition, he took part in the article by Voice Pópuli La campaña es un plató: por qué la sobredosis mediática puede cambiar votos.

Pedro Marfil, political scientist and expert in political discourse, spoke for La Sexta news: Estos son los motivos por los que tendrán que votar dos veces en 38 municipios españoles;  Antena 3: Debate Electoral: A por el voto de 7 millones de indecisos; he was invited to analyse the electoral debate live on the Hora 25 special for SER and the election night special for the El País live stream for the initial results of the elections. Gabriela Ortega, expert in strategic planning, wrote Un tiro de piedra for La Voz de Galicia, a detailed analysis of the tactics, tools and messages of each of the candidates in the electoral debate.
