The Rector of UCJC attends the AMER 2019 awards in support of entrepreneurs and hospitality companies

In its commitment to values of entrepreneurship and education in gastronomic culture, University Camilo José Cela has been represented by its Rector, Emilio Lora-Tamayo, at the annual event organised by the Madrid Association of Hospitality Businesses (AMER) at which the most outstanding businesses and personalities in the sector are also awarded.

The event was also attended by the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, and other senior officials from the City Council and the Madrid Region, municipal councillors and regional MPs, the presidents of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, from the CEIM, Miguel Garrido and of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Madrid, Ángel Asensio. The former mayor José María Alvárez del Manzano and the former government delegate of Madrid, Pedro Núñez Morgades, were also present.

The UCJC Ferran Adrià Chair received in 2016, the distinguished José Ramón Gumucio AMER award, in recognition for its work in spreading gastronomic culture and excellence.
