Radio, television, public relations, advertising… the students on the International Degree in Communications at University Camilo José Cela have completed their curricular and extracurricular work placements in several departments of Atresmedia over the summer.
Ignacio Ojeda, a third-year student, is currently working at the sports section of Onda Cero after having done work placement at La Sexta Deportes before the holidays. Alejandra Artero is working in the diversification department of the media group, while María del Carmen Aguilar, second year student, is collaborating with the Public Relations department.
Students are applying all the knowledge acquired in their degree studies in Spain and in their international Study Abroad stays in the real world. Alejandra Artero is beginning her fourth year on the Degree in Communications at UCJC and highlighted “how important it is to be able to work at a company as large as Atresmedia at a crucial time for the audiovisual sector with the arrival of Netflix and other players”.
University Camilo José Cela students enjoy high levels of employability and access to professional work placement from the first year. UCJC collaborates with leading communications companies such as Mediaset, Atresmedia, CNN, Ogilvy, Telemadrid or ETB to ensure that students have a high level of success when it comes to finding their first job. Eduardo Siles, a former student at UCJC, is a clear example, having just been hired by Antena 3 Noticias where he is responsible for traffic and road safety news in the Society section.
