Alfonso Hernández, president of the Regional Federation of Metal Businessmen of Murcia (FREMM) and Asela Pintado, director of Institutional Relations for SEK Education Group, to which the University Camilo José Cela (UCJC) belongs, have signed an agreement in Murcia that will allow entrepreneurs, managers and professionals in the metal sector to update their education and training in the face of changes in the global economy. The agreement provides preferential conditions for companies and employees of the region.
The collaboration between both parties allows access and enrolment to University Camilo José Cela studies through its Centre for Advanced Studies (CEA), including courses, seminars and master’s degrees.
UCJC has committed, with this agreement, to promote and enable the ongoing training and professional recycling of employees linked to FREMM in the facilities of the federation. Likewise, it will promote the studies taught at this university among the members of the federation.
Students in job placements
For its part, FREMM offers students who request it the chance to carry out their internships at the associated companies. The agreement will be in force from now until the 2022-2023 academic year and may be extended for periods of four academic years in the future.
The Metal Federation has signed this agreement in accordance with its ‘New Era FREMM 2017-2020’ Strategic Plan, in its interest to provide tools that promote innovation and quality employment among its 2,500 SMEs linked to the metal industry, to place them at the forefront in Industry 4.0.
