UCJC is presented with the European Citizens Award 2018

The European Parliament has presented University Camilo José Cela with the European Citizens Award for its Integra Project which aims to facilitate international students from countries in conflict access to education in different disciplines to attain the fullest personal, social and academic integration in our country.

Currently, University Camilo José Cela hosts ten students who, through a full scholarship, have had the opportunity to begin, or resume, their studies at UCJC, after completing an undergraduate course last academic year aimed at bolstering their linguistic skills, providing emotional intelligence tools, psychological support, teaching democratic and constitutional values, and learning communication and expression skills and strategies.

Other Spanish award winners in addition to the UCJC Integra Project were Clinical Management Unit of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Genetics and Reproduction (UGCMFG) of the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital in Seville, and the Arrels Foundation of Barcelona. The three Spanish projects will receive the award on October 9 in Brussels, along with the rest of the 47 winners from the 28 countries of the European Union.
