The School of Education and Health launches the ‘Yo entreno en CCAFYD’ project

The Sports Science and Physical Activity Department of University Camilo José Cela, part of its School of Education and Sports, has launched the Yo entreno en CCAFYD project, by which the students of this degree use the practical contents of some subjects to carry out real-life practical work by designing, planning and supervising individualised physical exercise programmes for employees of UCJC.

This initiative aims to promote the practice of individual exercise and promote a healthy lifestyle among UCJC employees, and allows students to carry out practical coursework by designing, planning and supervising their own specific exercise programmes based on the individual capacity of every employee.

The exercise programme includes several modalities, such as Walking Life, physical exercise based on walking and aimed at people with low levels of physical fitness; Runners , based on long-distance running, for fitter people; Stronger , to improve muscle tone and complement any of the two previous modalities; and Healthy Job , a stretching and joint mobility exercise programme to avoid injuries associated with certain back postures at work.
