Virginia Torres, Complutense University, and Alberto Gómez, Nebrija University, winners of the 16th UCJC Rector’s Cross-Country Run

On Saturday, 3 February, the 16th UCJC Rector’s cross-country run – part of the Madrid University Cross-country Circuit, was held, as in other years, at its Villafranca Campus. The 197 runners who participated in the men’s and women’s events enjoyed a sunny morning with an ideal temperature for running, which lead to very fast race times in both categories.

The winner of the women’s event (4,490 metres) was Virginia Torres, from Madrid’s Complutense University, who ran it in 17 ’54 “, while the champion of the men’s event (8,345 metres) was Alberto Gómez, of the Universidad Nebrija, who ran a time of 29 ’50 “. The Minicross was held before the main events, divided in three categories: 7-8 years, 9-10 years and 11-12 years.
