Women riders excel at the Princess of Asturias tournament held at UCJC Sports Club

UCJC Sports Club has hosted, once again this year, the Princess of Asturias Horse-riding tournament This 39th tournament was dominated by women riders. First place at the tournament’s four categories – Alevín, Infantil, Juvenil and Jóvenes Jinetes – were won by women riders. The tournament was held over 27, 28 and 29 October at Camilo José Cela University sports facilities

The winners were Jimena García Rueda for the Alevín category, with her horse Qualoe duGautray; Alejandra Botín with Quindira in Infantil; Otti Verdú took first place for the Juvenil category with Saptools Twiggy Ka; and Esther Llacer, with CDE “Benhur”, took first place in Jóvenes Jinetes. Of the winners, Otti Verdú ratified last year’s victory and took a double, winning the Spain Championship and the Princess of Asturias trophy, while Esther Llacer has just taken eighth place in the Spain Youth Championship.
