The School of Health places great emphasis on practical training and research. Students work in small groups, receiving greater individual attention – one of the factors that make the faculty a reference point in Spain.
There are first-class facilities for the degree programmes in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Physical Education and Sports Sciences to ensure that students gain practical experience of what they learn in the lecture hall. These include research laboratories, the Physiology of Exercise and Sports Performance Laboratory and the Clinical Simulation Room.
UCJC Students of Nursing, for example, spend more time than students at any other Spanish university doing practical work (around 2,100 hours) – almost half of it in the best hospitals in Madrid.
